• Developing and training Guides to deliver Alpha's workshop experiences with exceptional quality
• Designing Guide Playbooks that document facilitation best practices, effective learning activity design, and challenge navigation
• Delivering consistent, actionable coaching to Guides that elevates student engagement and outcomes
• Personally coaching a small student cohort to demonstrate advanced mentorship and motivation techniques

• Developing traditional lesson plans – your Guides support student learning through adaptive technology; your role centers on training them to become outstanding motivators
• Accepting reduced expectations – when our mastery standard is 100%, you are responsible for upholding that benchmark
• Running disengaging professional development – you'll develop Guides through dynamic, high‑energy, experiential training

• Currently located in or prepared to relocate for on‑site work at an Alpha Campus (Bethesda, MD; Chicago, IL; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA)
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or a closely related area.
• Proven track record of creating and executing innovative educational programs, curricula, or training systems.
• Exceptional leadership and coaching abilities with demonstrated success building, managing, and inspiring high‑performing teams.
• Background working with young people (ages 5-18) in educational or developmental settings.
• Strong analytical skills and experience leveraging data and metrics to inform decisions and drive ongoing improvement.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Alpha School is rewriting the rules of education.

This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
