Title: Supervisor, College and Career Pathways
Location: 4822 N Broadway, 5715 W Belmont
Schedule: Hybrid, Monday to Friday (8:30am- 5:00pm)
SummaryUnder the general guidance of the Program Manager, Youth Education and Career Pathways, the Supervisor is responsible for planning and implementing vocational training programs that prepare adults with skills needed to successfully enter the workforce and/or transition into further training or education.
Responsibilities include:
oversight of College & Career Pathways team, curriculum development and direct instruction; training and supervision of staff as they provide education and career transitions services, vocational training, and community partnership development; participant outreach and recruitment; administrative oversight and reporting; quality improvement and contract compliance. The Supervisor will support senior management in the administration of programs. Frequent communication with program participants, staff, and community partners will be required.
This position may supervise program volunteers and interns. Individual accountabilities and work volume will be established through the development of annual Success Objectives, within the framework outlined below.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides oversight in accordance with funder guidelines and adult education best practices for client services operations, including but not limited to participant and project management, implementation of program and departmental policies and procedures, and staff onboarding, coaching, and training.
- Ensures comprehensive service delivery through supervision of College & Career Pathways staff, interns and volunteers.
- Participates in interviewing, hiring, discipline, terminations and other relevant employment transitions, within defined parameters (including interns).
- Identifies and responds to existing gaps in services through the development of appropriate programmatic responses.
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with stakeholders, government agencies, and appropriate groups and community based organizations, as approved by the Director.
- Teaches vocational training classes and provides direct instruction to support program and participant needs.
- Provides transitions services to a small caseload of program participants.
- Remains current in the field of services provided through self-initiated avenues, as approved by Associate Director and Program Manager.
- Provides training to relevant staff in various facts of the position and ensures documents are completed in a thorough, accurate, and timely fashion.
- Participates in Refugee and Immigrant Community Services (RICS) manager meetings, all-staff meetings, professional development, and other meetings. Helps coordinate with other RICS programs to support effective service provision and staff development.
- Participates in the development of long-range plans, service delivery models, and other significant strategies and/or systems.
- Initiates requests for regular staff supervision and interim evaluation and goal setting.
- Assumes an appropriate role in other RICS tasks or projects.

Teacher III, Teacher II, Lead Teacher III, Lead Teacher III – Transitions Specialist, Refugee Vocational English Language Training Coordinator, Resource ESL Instructors
Education And Experience- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institute of higher learning is required.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience working within adult education or vocational training required.
- Minimum one (1) year supervisory experience is required.
- Experience with refugee and immigrant communities is strongly preferred.
- Bilingual strongly preferred.
- Background check required.
- Access to regular, dependable and timely transportation
- Ability and comfortability working with people of varying socioeconomic backgrounds.
