YMCA Program Site Manager – Community Schools Initiative
OverviewThe YMCA is hiring a Program Site Manager for the Community Schools Initiative program. The role involves leading program quality, assisting in curriculum implementation, providing leadership to staff, and overseeing the ordering and distribution of snacks, materials, and supplies to operate the program. Occasional direct service may be required to execute the program.
Pay
: $43,888 – $45,000 per year; full-time benefits and opportunities to grow within the organization. The budgeted range is the estimated range for this position; final offers are based on skill, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related factors.

Arthur A Libby Elementary – 5300 S Loomis Blvd, Chicago, IL 60609
- Implements program curriculum with school-aged program staff while ensuring the program follows DCFS and YMCA standards.
- Provides guidance to staff onsite to adhere to program quality standards.
- Facilitates collaboration between program staff, including planning and leading staff meetings.
- Enhances parent/guardian/caregiver engagement and ensures program quality meets expectations.
- Collaborates with teachers, principals and other staff at local schools to align and execute program activities and ensure success.
- Maintains and audits all program files according to DCFS and YMCA Standards.
- Assists in development and execution of special events and seasonal programs (e.g., Day Camp) for members and participants.
- Participates in program marketing and retention activities.
- Fills in for other staff as needed.
- Hires, develops, motivates, and retains a committed team aligned with the YMCA’s mission.
- Completes all job-related trainings as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age and/or 5 years older than the oldest participating child.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Ability to make decisions and communicate effectively with parents and children.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with one of the following:
- 30 semester hours from an accredited college or university with 12 semester hours related to school-age childcare or related fields, plus 750 hours of professional experience; or
- 6 semester hours of credit from an accredited college or university related to school-age childcare or related fields, plus 1560 hours of professional experience.
- 1 to 3+ years experience in youth and family programming, with at least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strategic thinking and planning abilities, with the capacity to monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple priorities.
- Customer service orientation with ability to communicate regularly with internal customers, build relationships, and ensure high service levels.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with customers, staff, and stakeholders.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and email; ability to learn new technology.
- Meet physical qualifications as outlined in the job description; reasonable accommodations available per YMCA policy.
- Based on funding, be willing to register with the Gateways Registry and complete required online training for the designated program area.

- Follow policies to keep children safe, including monitoring and supervision requirements.
