Job Opportunity:
Clinician-Educator at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine

The Department of Family and Community Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is seeking a full-time, non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor. The position involves practicing in our Grayslake, Illinois clinic and teaching in the McGaw Northwestern Family Medicine Residency at Lake Forest.

Responsibilities include:
  • Creating and maintaining an educational environment that supports resident education across all ACGME competency areas.
  • Precepting residents in the Family Medicine Practice at a ratio of 4 residents to 1 faculty member.
  • Leading and participating in clinical discussions, didactic sessions, teaching rounds, and conferences.
  • Participating in the recruitment and selection of new residents.
  • Evaluating residents through formal and informal assessments and gathering feedback from staff.
  • Assisting the program director with resident training monitoring and reporting to relevant committees, including ACGME, McGaw, and Northwestern Memorial Healthcare.
  • Engaging in clinical practice outside of the residency program.
    • Qualifications:

    Applicants must have an MD or DO degree and be board certified or eligible in family medicine. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
