Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities of Head of Early Childhood Program:
- Lead and support teaching and administrative staff
- Oversee program operations, licensing compliance, enrollment, and staffing
- Ensure high standards for curriculum, safety, and child development
- Foster a positive, inclusive school culture
- Partner with leadership on staffing, budgeting, and program planning
- Serve as a key point of contact for families and the school community
Qualifications of Head of Early Childhood Program:
- Meets Illinois DCFS requirements for program leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 5+ years of early childhood education experience, including leadership
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- CPR/First Aid preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to assist young children as needed (up to 60 lbs)
