- Facilitating adaptive reading workshops that build core competencies in phonics, fluency, and comprehension.
- Creating personalized engagement sessions that resonate with children and foster enduring enthusiasm for reading.
- Evaluating student achievement data to iteratively improve your methods and generate practical insights.
- Partnering with the technology team to assess and refine AI-based literacy platforms.
- Implementing pre-packaged curricula or commercially published scope-and-sequence frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Cultivate a passion for reading in early learners.
Basic Requirements- Bachelor's degree
- Master's degree or advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience providing small-group reading interventions to early elementary students
- Capable of evaluating reading proficiency, organizing student groups, and creating differentiated instruction without reliance on pre-written curricula
- Experienced with AI/adaptive learning platforms and able to respond effectively to student behaviors within these systems
- Authorized to work legally in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
- Available to work on-site at one of our locations:
Chantilly (Washington), VA;
San Francisco, CA; or New York City, NY

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $60 USD/hour, which equates to $120,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
