Position Overview
Develop and deliver highly individualized, standards-aligned instruction to high-risk students (Grades 9-12), tailoring lessons and materials for diverse learning styles.
Lead the development, implementation, and review of compliant and comprehensive Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and support teams.
Implement data-driven interventions to actively engage high-truancy students, strategically addressing systemic barriers (e.g., poverty, family insecurity) to foster consistent school attendance and academic success.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement
- Prior experience working as a Special Education Teacher, ideally with high school students (Preferred)
- Proven ability and experience implementing behavior management and crisis intervention strategies for high-risk or at-promise youth (Preferred)
- Top Compensation:
Earn$39.70 - $43.60 Per Hour
