We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic Part-Time Continuing Education Instructors who are experienced sales professionals to teach in the Next Gen Sales Academy
, an 8-week, selective-admission Continuing Education program designed with employers to prepare learners for modern sales roles. The ideal candidate will possess substantial professional experience in their subject area, and demonstrate a passion for facilitating engaging and practical learning experiences. This position has a hybrid work environment.
- Develop and/or teach courses to meet learning outcomes and promote students’ active participation in their own learning.
- Create an effective learning environment that fosters students’ intellectual curiosity and help students problem-solve using discipline-specific strategies.
- Employ a variety of formative and summative assessments to ensure that classroom instruction leads to student learning and achievement of learning outcomes.
- Help students reach their academic, personal, and career goals while fostering a safe environment that respects diversity and encourages confidence in every student’s ability to learn.
- Adhere to City Colleges of Chicago code of ethics, Board rules, and policies.
- Extensive Sales-related expertise
, including knowledge of sales techniques, customer relationship management, and negotiation skills - Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to create a positive learning environment and adapt to diverse student needs.
- Experience with technology tools and software relevant to sales and classroom instruction
- Coaching, mentoring, or training experience.
- Industry certifications related to the course content.
- Experience developing curricula or training programs.
The compensation for this part-time instructor position will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and the course subject matter.
