Admissions Advisor

Location: East-West University Chicago, IL South Loop (60605)

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $45-$55k (depending on experience and educational background)

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance to prospective students on admissions requirements, procedures, and academic programs.
  • Conduct one‑on‑one consultations with prospective students and families to assess their needs and match them with suitable academic programs.
  • Manage and track prospective student applications, ensuring timely follow‑ups and completion of necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless admissions process.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of applicants.
  • Assist with organizing and conducting admissions events such as campus tours, information sessions, orientation, and recruitment fairs.
  • Fieldwork (career and college fairs, class presentations, counselor meetings, outside agency visits, etc.) to develop a self‑generated lead channel and connections.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date student records in the admissions database.
  • Serve as a point of contact for inquiries from students, parents, and other stakeholders such as high school counselors, administrators, and outside agencies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an admissions, recruitment, or academic advising role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, families, and staff.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Knowledge of admissions processes and higher education trends is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with admissions‑related software (CRM systems, Google Voice, etc.).
  • Fluent English and Spanish speaking strongly preferred.
