As a Trainer, you will be involved in curriculum development and training delivery of a variety of security topics in support of Inter‑Con operations/contracts. You will present instructional content for the assigned topic area(s) as directed by the Director or Vice President of Operations, conduct practical exercises in addition to classroom lectures and presentations, and may be required to conduct research and provide recommendations regarding integration and application of security program policies.

You may also provide analysis, recommendations, and assistance regarding new or existing security requirements.

You will maintain compliance with internal and external mandates as required, including Inter‑Con requirements and local, state, and federal authorities, entities or other oversight/advisory boards with regard to training and record‑keeping. You will assist in the development of training manuals, multimedia visual aids and other educational materials as necessary.

• Training program experience that includes but is not limited to providing or developing an instructional system (IS) format.
• Experience using a standard classroom instruction format and developing training materials within an academic “Instructional System (IS)” framework.
• Understanding of a systemic approach to training, including gathering and analyzing learning requirements and responding to identified training needs.
• Demonstrated experience in applying a systemic approach to ensure learning programs and support materials are continually reviewed, evaluated, and developed to meet diverse needs in a rapidly changing environment.
• Developing training programs, PowerPoint presentations, syllabi, testing materials, etc.
• Knowledge and experience with different training delivery methods (OJT, Web‑based, etc.) and types (technical, professional, team, safety, etc.).
• Certified instructor for CPR, AED, and Adult First Aid (certifications accepted include Red Cross, ASHA, etc.).
• High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Police Science, Public Safety, and/or related field preferred. Instructional Design or Learning Development certification a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in training, education, instruction, professional development, military and/or police training administration environment or equivalent.
• Project a professional image and provide outstanding customer service, speak effectively to both large and small groups, demonstrate excellent listening skills and prepare and conduct effective presentations.
• Act quickly, decisively, and tactfully to establish and meet deadlines with quality results while simultaneously managing multiple tasks in a changing environment; strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills required.
• Cooperate and collaborate as a member of a team.
• Physically able to perform activities including running, jumping, defensive tactic movements/actions, firearms instruction.

• U.S. citizen.
• Excellent attention to detail, good record‑keeping and related administrative functions supporting company and state requirements.
• Fluently read, speak, comprehend, and compose coherent written material in English.
• General computer proficiency required, including experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Duty hours may vary and require work outside normal duty schedule to support training needs.
• May be required to travel on a rotational basis to conduct training.
• Willingness to work in various environments (indoor/outdoor shooting ranges, outdoor training facilities, etc.).
• Physically fit and able to lift 35 pounds.
• Meet requirements set forth by the Lautenberg Amendment.
