Job Type: Full Time, Salary, Exempt
Job Location: Chicagoland Area
Salary Range: $47,000-$52,000 annually

Position Description - What the Role Entails:
The CRSS Program Instructor is responsible for planning, teaching, and coordinating instructional materials for students in the CRSS/CPRS Certification and Recovery Support Specialist Studies Program. This role involves delivering the CRSS/CPRS curriculum, conducting workshops and study sessions, and providing weekly office hours for student support.

Areas of Accountability - What you will be doing:
- Instruct CRSS students in the CRSS/CPRS Certification and Recovery Support Specialist Studies Program.
- Lead Internship Seminar Course to students.
- Employ diverse teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, activities, and demonstrations.
- Foster a positive learning environment and motivate students through effective communication and feedback.
- Utilize instruction technology and electronic resources to develop student-centered learning opportunities. (i.e. Power Points, Canva, and Canvas LMS)
- Develop and maintain course outlines or syllabi that meet ICB and IBHE standards.
- Organize study sessions to support students in preparing for the CRSS/CPRS State exam
- Apply research-based teaching strategies that engage students with varying abilities and cultural backgrounds.
- Plan lessons and assignments to align with curriculum learning objectives.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the curriculum and subject matter.
- Holds weekly office hours.
- Designs or uses current assessments to monitor student learning outcomes
- Keep organized records of student progress and training requirements.
- Grade assignments, tests, and other student work to assess progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues, students, community members, and/or advisory board regularly, or as requested by the administration.
- Collaborate with supervisor and program director to consistently review and update the curriculum.
- Handles information with discretion and understands confidentiality.
- Attends outreach events for recruitment of students and internship linkages.
- Attend meetings with community partners.
- Assist in data collection for program reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
