Pay Rate: $55/hour

Duration:
Remainder of the 2025–2026 School Year

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Start Date:

ASAP – June 17, 2026

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher with an LBS1 endorsement to join our team for the remainder of the school year. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, you will provide high-quality services to students in a semi-self-contained classroom setting. This role emphasizes collaboration with general education staff to plan and implement individualized programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with special needs (K–12).
  • Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and district guidelines.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Caseload Details
  • Setting:
    Semi-self-contained special education classroom
  • Students:
    Up to 10
  • Support:
    Para educator assistance provided
Minimum Requirements
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
  • Certification:
    Valid Illinois Special Education Teaching Certificate
  • LBS1 Endorsement (required)
  • Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred)
  • Compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Current CPR certification (if applicable)
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
