Rush University is seeking a visionary leader to serve as Dean of the College of Nursing. This role has pivotal influence across academic nursing, clinical practice, and national policy.

• Shape the next era of one of the nation’s premier Colleges of Nursing, at the intersection of academic nursing, integrated academic health system, and policy.
• Elevate nursing education, extend research and innovation, and strengthen the College’s national standing.
• Promote workforce development, regulatory change, interprofessional practice, and science/policy that underpins advanced nursing roles.
• Lead growth of research enterprise, team science, translational scholarship, and PhD/DNP pathways.
• Steward faculty recruitment, retention, high-performance inclusive culture, enrollment health, succession planning, and operational alignment.
• Strengthen academic–practice partnerships, advance technology-enabled interprofessional education, champion student success, affordability, and social determinants of learning.
• Advocate for philanthropic investment and external research funding.
• Build faculty pipelines, mentor emerging leaders, and sustain programmatic continuity.

• A proven record of leadership in academic nursing and health systems.
• National stature and strategic clarity to influence policy and advance nursing at a national level.
• Experience in fostering faculty development, research growth, and interprofessional education.
• Ability to navigate a complex academic health enterprise and build relationships across clinical and policy spheres.
