Lead Preschool Daycare Teacher position at The Goddard School, located in Chicago (South Loop), IL 60616.

The Goddard School is seeking a motivated self‑starter to lead our new preschool for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. Our state‑of‑the‑art facility is located just blocks from CTA and Metra Electric. Teachers are responsible for compliance with Goddard's industry‑leading Quality Assurance standards, writing and implementing lesson plans based on the Goddard Developmental Guidelines and monthly school themes.

As a Lead Preschool Teacher, you will establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment, working collaboratively with another teacher and the entire faculty.

• Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in ECE, Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field is preferred.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification.

• Develop lesson plans.
• Meet the individual needs of the children.
• Communicate with parents.
• Participate in staff and training meetings.
• Design an appropriate room arrangement to support goals and developmental levels.
• Interact with children to support play, exploration and learning.
• Present expectations appropriate to a child's age and developmental level.
• Plan and implement activities that develop self‑esteem and social skills.
• Communicate professionally with parents and fellow staff.
• Build teamwork.
