Our Lady of Tepeyac High School is an all-girls Catholic high school in the heart of Chicago's Little Village neighborhood. Teachers serve as professional educators and role models, supporting our mission to empower young women through faith, education, and leadership. The position is for a Mathematics teacher: 2 sections of Geometry, 1 section of Algebra II honors, and 1 section of Precalculus.
GeneralResponsibilities
- Teach and act in accordance with Catholic doctrinal and moral teachings.
- Serve as a role model for the religious formation of students and represent the Archbishop of Chicago and the Catholic Church.
- Follow the religious and educational mission, philosophy, objectives, and policies of the Catholic school.
- Complete Catholic identity formation training and other required professional development from the Archdiocese of Chicago.
- Lead and participate in religious instruction, ceremonies, rituals or other religious activities as directed by the principal.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and principal.
- Participate in professional development programs required by the Archdiocese of Chicago and/or the local school/parish.
- Perform teaching duties as assigned by the principal.
- Attend required faculty and staff meetings.
- Cooperate with principal and staff members in school-related meetings, activities, and projects.
- Maintain accurate student attendance and academic records.
- Maintain a safe, orderly and secure learning and working environment.
- Participate in the annual performance review.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding school personnel, students and general school matters.
- Represent the school/parish at all events and in the general public.
- Accept additional tasks assigned by the principal.
- Bachelor’s degree (required).
- Valid state teaching license (preferred, not required).
- Compliance with Archdiocese safe environment training.
- Commitment to empowering young women in a diverse, faith-driven community.
- Practice Catholic faith (preferred; required for religion teachers).
- Must hold Bachelor’s degree.
- Complete Catholic identity formation training.
- Transcripts.
- Resume.
- Teaching Licensure (PEL), if applicable/obtained.
- Acceptance in alternative licensure program, if applicable.
- Professional references.
This position has an annualized salary range of Lay - $37,000 - $67,000 and Religious - $34,000 - $61,000. Detailed benefit information is available from the Archdiocese of Chicago.
