Our Teacher First Compensation (TFC) model provides transparent, performance-based pay that rewards professional growth, collaboration, and student impact — not tenure.
Annual Salary Range (2025–2026):
- Professional: $60,000
- Advanced: $70,000
- Exemplary: $80,000+
- + $3,000 signing bonus
Placement within bands is determined through Kairos’ TFC evaluation process and reviewed annually as teachers grow in mastery and contribution.
Position SummaryThe NDL (Neurodiverse Learning) Teacher is a champion for inclusion, equity, and high expectations for all learners. This educator provides individualized, small-group, and co-taught instruction to ensure that students with disabilities meet their academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals.
NDL Teachers are essential members of the Kairos instructional team, ensuring that all students—regardless of learning profile—experience rigorous, accessible, and joyful learning aligned with Kairos’ mission.

Core Responsibilities Instructional Leadership & Student Support- Deliver specialized instruction and accommodations through co-teaching, small groups, and individualized support.
- Use data to monitor progress toward academic and behavioral goals, adjusting supports as needed.
- Implement evidence-based interventions aligned with IDEA and Kairos’ inclusive learning model.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to design lessons grounded in Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
- Coach students in executive functioning, self-advocacy, and independence through consistent 1:1 and small-group work.
- Maintain 100% compliance with all federal and state special education laws, timelines, and documentation.
- Lead IEP development, progress monitoring, and communication with families and service providers.
- Partner with school leaders to ensure accurate service minutes and appropriate implementation of accommodations.
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility reviews, and multidisciplinary discussions to align services to student needs.
- Serve as an advocate for inclusion and neurodiversity across the school community.
- Provide professional development and coaching to staff on best practices for supporting diverse learners.
- Contribute to restorative practices and SEL initiatives that build belonging and positive school culture.
- Take on leadership or project-based responsibilities that align with school needs (e.g., IEP Compliance Lead, MTSS Lead).
- Student Growth: 70%+ of students with IEPs meet or exceed individual growth goals.
- Compliance: 100% compliance on IEP documentation, timelines, and service delivery audits.
- Family Engagement: 85%+ satisfaction among families of students with IEPs (Kairos family survey).
- Persistence & Attendance: 85%+ average daily attendance and persistence rate among caseload students.
- Collaboration: Positive feedback from school leaders and teachers on partnership, reliability, and communication.
