Visiting Professor - Computer Science (Advantage Academy) at DeVry University. • Develops and provides students with an approved DeVry University syllabus that follows a campus template and includes the terminal course objectives.
• Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and updates all course materials.
• Uses appropriate online technologies and course-related software, including websites, e‑mail, and online discussions to prepare and deliver the course.
• Models effective oral and written communication to engage students and improve learning.
• Sets clear course expectations by publishing terminal objectives, assignment/examinations dates, and the weighting of evaluation categories.
• Ensures that exams align with course terminal objectives.
• Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams and provides timely feedback to students.
• Completes other duties as assigned.

• Master’s Degree in computer science or related field (18 graduate hours in the subject taught for undergraduate teaching).
• Qualifying credentials from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or equivalent international accreditation.
• Requisite subject matter expertise and strong communication skills.
• Domain related certifications.

• As above, with emphasis on education, experience, knowledge, and skills required to perform essential duties.

• Pay is based on degree, credit hours taught per 8‑week session, and location. We do not guarantee a specific number of work hours or assignments.
• Pay may vary by state per 8‑week session (examples: $1500‑$2700).
• In AZ, CA, IN, and PA pay is hourly at $22.00/hour or $23.50/hour.

• Options vary by employment status; part-time/Visiting Professors may not be eligible for all benefits.
