Family Medicine Physician-Archer Clinic

Position Purpose

Practice as a family medicine physician at the Hospital, in the Hospital satellite medical offices and the Hospital site for the Hospitalist Service call coverage.

Essential Functions
  • Examines patients for symptoms or physical information.
  • Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient s condition.
  • Analyzes reports and findings of tests and examination, and diagnoses condition of patient.
  • Administers or prescribes treatments.
  • Determines and prescribes medication, dosage, and schedule given the patient s condition and allergies.
  • Performs surgical procedures commensurate with surgical competency.
  • Refers patients to primary care physicians or medical specialist for consultant services when necessary for patient s well-being.
  • Documents the patient s visit including medical history, physical exam, diagnoses, and plan of action.
Job Requirements
  • Doctoral degree (M.D. or D.O.) or equivalent
  • Physicians must be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Family Medicine, the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
  • Excellent judgment and discretion; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle work-related stress is required.
  • Friendly, courteous, service-oriented, professional, outgoing, and customer service oriented.
  • Remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
  • Detail oriented while maintaining an extremely positive attitude.
  • Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision.
  • Recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve routine problems.
  • Team player with a "can do" attitude that can work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional atmosphere for employees, clients and customers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
