Overview

One of the largest faith-based health care organizations in the Midwest is seeking an additional general urologist to be based out of its Northwest Indiana location, about 35 minutes outside of Downtown Chicago. The hospital is part of one of the largest acute-care systems in the Northwest Indiana region and is growing to meet community needs. The incoming physician will join an experienced provider who has been with the system for over 10 years, a urology-dedicated APP who assists in clinic rounding, and a skilled support staff including 4 MAs and 1 Surgical Scheduler.

• Privileges at both a 63-bed acute-care community facility offering nearly 50 medical specialties and a 220-bed hospital.
• Urology Clinic centrally located between both admitting hospitals; all facilities within a 5-mile radius.
• Collaboration in the Operating Room with DaVinci XI robotics.
• Onsite equipment includes two fully equipped procedure rooms, cystoscope, and transrectal ultrasound.

• General Urology position; subspecialty interests are welcome. Robotic/laparoscopic experience is preferred but not required.
• Call will be 1:4 with support of a local group in the community. Hospitalists handle immediate cases, so call is not burdensome.
• Opportunity to step into immediate volume for an experienced provider with mentorship available for new graduates.
• Even split between OR and Clinic. Average outpatient volumes: 20–25 patients/day; average inpatient volume: 5–10 patients/day.
• Competitive compensation package at MGMA median. Commencement bonus and retention bonuses available.

The city is located 33 miles to Chicago Midway Airport and 46 miles to Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
