Advocate Health is on the lookout for a dynamic and visionary Anesthesiologist to lead our Department of Anesthesiology at the Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and our brand-new Ambulatory Surgery Center in the vibrant Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. As the Department Chair, you will provide both clinical and administrative leadership, guiding a talented team of:

• 30 attending physicians
• 10 CRNAs
• 32 residents

• Be part of a large, established, and stable practice within the nation's third-largest integrated healthcare system.
• Work in a 397-bed, nationally recognized teaching hospital with deep academic partnerships.
• Lead in our brand-new 20,000 sq. ft. Ambulatory Surgery Center featuring 2 ORs and full imaging/lab support.
• Influence and develop an evolving residency training program.
• Experience a collaborative procedural services environment with a full spectrum of academic practice.

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Department of Anesthesiology, ensuring excellence in patient care and safety.
• Maintain a robust quality assurance and peer review program focused on continuous improvement.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration.
• Oversee clinical performance, credentialing, and professional development of all anesthesia providers.
• Partner with hospital leadership to drive operational efficiency and achieve key performance goals.
• Lead educational efforts, including residency and continuing medical education programs.
• Support recruitment and workforce development to meet service needs.
• Collaborate on strategic planning and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Represent the department on key hospital committees.

• MD/DO with an active Illinois license and Board Certification in Anesthesiology.
• Proven leadership and administrative experience.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and team development skills.
• Academic or teaching experience is required.
