Inpatient Neurorehabilitation Attending Physician

The Inpatient Neurorehabilitation Attending Physician will become a member of the medical staff with a faculty appointment in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. In this role, the physician participates in the education and training of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residents on inpatient and outpatient rotations and in the didactic curriculum. The Shirley Ryan Ability Lab supports research and scholarly activity, which is strongly encouraged.

• Collaborate with leaders and staff to facilitate achievement of organizational goals and provide medical leadership to the interdisciplinary team.
• Practice clinically as an attending physician, ensuring the appropriateness and effectiveness of treatment plans; oversee and coordinate involvement of physicians, nursing and allied health staff to resolve complex medical problems.
• Participate in medical staff committees and lead as appropriate.
• Educate and train Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residents on inpatient and outpatient rotations and in their didactic curriculum.
• Perform other duties as assigned in the best interest of the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab.

• Reports directly to the Program Medical Director or the Chief Medical Officer as appropriate.

• Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Illinois.
• Successful completion of a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation;
  Board certified or Board Eligible.
• Faculty appointment at Northwestern University Medical School.
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, referring parties, SRAlab and other stakeholders.

• Normal office environment with little or no exposure to dust or extreme temperatures.

Pay Range: $ annually – $ annually
