Salary Range: $175,000 - $300,000 a year
The University of Chicago’s Department of Surgery, Section of General Surgery, seeks part-time Clinical Associates at 50% effort for renewable terms of up to three years. Appointees will provide care for breast surgical oncology patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Primary practice locations include River East, Hyde Park, and affiliated offsite locations. These positions do not require teaching or scholarly activity.
Compensation is dependent on qualifications. These positions are benefits-eligible. A. Mitchell Hospital for adult inpatient care, and the Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine, totaling more than 550 beds in service and net patient care revenues over $1.4 billion. The new cancer pavilion, opening in the spring of 2027, will be the only freestanding inpatient and outpatient Cancer Center in the Chicagoland area and will provide a unique opportunity to reimagine the future of cancer care and deliver true multidisciplinary, patient-centered care.
New ambulatory facilities are in Orland Park, River East, Northwest Indiana, and Ingalls Memorial Hospital.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must:
- Have a medical doctorate or equivalent
- Hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois
- Be board certified or board eligible in General Surgery or equivalent
- Be fellowship trained in Breast Surgery
