Role DescriptionThis is a full-time role for a Project Architect in a firm located in downtown Chicago. The Project Architect will be responsible for leading architectural projects through all phases of the project process, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and coordinating with team members, including the Design Leads and Project Managers, and outside consultants. The position also requires collaboration with the clients and contractors to achieve cost-effective and efficient design goals.
Responsibilities include full participation in projects from the early stages of design through the preparation of construction documents, implementation of architectural standards and practices, overseeing building information modeling (BIM) processes, collaborating with the project team through bidding and permitting, and administration through construction, including submittal review and responses to requests for information (RFI).
Qualifications- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field, with licensure as an Architect preferred.
- Proficiency in architectural and technical drawing creation and interpretation.
- Proficiency in relevant software, including Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office.
- Experience in corporate, interior, or commercial project design is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and demonstrate strong problem solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to lead architectural projects from concept through completion.
- Experience reviewing and processing submittals and related documentation.
- Strong skills in the Project Architect role, including interacting with project stakeholders and team members, collaborating with the project designers, coordinating with consultants, and managing project staff and timelines.
- Hybrid work environment involving a combination of in-office and remote workdays.
- Base salary range of $85,000 to $110,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
