Be our next Architectural Intern in the Chicago office (part time or full time)

What a day at EXP has in store for you

* Participate in the development of design alternatives using a variety of media, including hand drawing, computer visualization, and physical models. Work in coordination with Senior Design Architects and our Principal Design Architect.

* Participate in the development of presentation documents.

* Participate in team meetings and design charrettes.

* Learn to prepare construction documents under the supervision of multi-discipline project team members including architects and engineers.

* Meet with product vendors to build and maintain the material library.

What your experience looks like

* Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Architectural Program.

* 0-1 years' experience is anticipated.

* Must have portfolio documenting a penchant for design excellence.

* Must have demonstrated ability for hand sketching, as well as ability to use computer software for design.

* Should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

* Working knowledge of AutoCAD & Revit is ideal but not required.

* Working knowledge of Sketchup, Photoshop, 3D Studio, Rhino, V-Ray, and other imaging and rendering software is helpful.

* Should be proficient with building physical models of conceptual designs as well as final building models.

The hourly rate for this role is $20 to $25 hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location. Compensation may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor.
