Antero Group is seeking a talented and highly motivated Planner/Designer to join our growing team in our Chicago, Illinois, or Dallas‑Fort Worth office. This dynamic position offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of urban planning and design initiatives, providing meaningful opportunities for professional growth and creative contribution.

The selected candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support a variety of projects, including comprehensive plans, corridor studies, transportation plans, green infrastructure plans, site plans, community visioning initiatives, and other related efforts. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to contribute thoughtful, design‑driven solutions. Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support a wide range of community planning and design projects and related tasks
  • Prepare, review, and produce high‑quality plans, reports, maps, presentations, and renderings
  • Design and facilitate stakeholder meetings, community outreach, and engagement activities
  • Support the implementation of marketing and business development strategies
  • Assist in the development of proposals
  • Coordinate with Antero Group staff to ensure smooth business operations and project delivery
  • Assist in preparing for and documenting internal and client meetings
  • Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and innovation
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, or a related field preferred. Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and deliver design products across a variety of formats
  • Excellent creative thinking and design skills
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and flexible work environment
  • Ability to manage multiple long‑term project deliverables while balancing immediate priorities
  • Ability to work well on teams and individually
  • Proficiency with the following software packages:
    Microsoft Office Suite, ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Sketch Up (additional technical proficiencies a plus)
