Job Title:

Licensed Architect - Design/Build Practice. We are a design/build firm with a growing design and engineering services department. The scope of work includes designing rooftop decks for buildings of various sizes and construction types, as well as new construction and renovation/addition projects for single-family homes, multi-unit, and mixed-use buildings. This role is ideal for a successful, sole-practicing architect seeking a long-term partnership to collaborate and grow the business.

The position operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and involves supervising junior designers to ensure zoning and building code compliance. The architect will work closely with an in-house licensed structural engineer, home inspector, and general contractor to manage multiple concurrent projects.

• Lead architectural design for rooftop decks, residential, and mixed-use projects
• Supervise and mentor junior designers
• Ensure zoning, permitting, and building code compliance
• Coordinate with structural engineers, inspectors, and construction teams
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously from concept through construction

• Licensed Architect with 10+ years of local experience (Self-Certification preferred)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly self-motivated with confidence in independent decision-making
• Experience managing freelance or independent projects

• Construction experience and/or experience designing and building a personal residence
