Job Description & How to Apply Below

Working at Real Chemistry and in the healthcare industry isn’t just a job for us. We got into this field for different reasons, but we all stay for the same reason – to uncover insights, make meaningful connections, infuse creativity, and improve the patient experience by transforming healthcare through AI and ideas.

Real Chemistry creates the world around modern therapies with over 2,000 talented professionals, and for the last 20+ years has carved out its space at the intersection between healthcare, marketing and communications, data & AI, and the people at the heart of it all. We work with the top 30 pharma and biotech companies and are built for uncommon collaboration – we believe we are best together, bringing together experts from a wide range of disciplines, collaborating without barriers under a single, unified mission: to transform what healthcare is to what it should be.

GRAMS, a Real Chemistry subsidiary, is an advertising agency born to make healthcare more human. It is a place where people subscribe to the adage, “Be good to each other, but hard on the work,” and are here to make a dent in the universe. Sound like you?

21 Grams is searching for an Art Supervisor who is a brand steward and category champion, responsible for having a deep understanding of the brand, its benefits, and driving differentiation. Working with copy partners and reporting to the Associate Creative Director, the Art Supervisor will own all day‑to‑day design responsibilities for assigned healthcare/pharma‑related HCP accounts. The role is hybrid, based in any of our U.S. offices – including New York City, Boston, Chicago, Carmel, or San Francisco – or remotely within the U.S., depending on team and business needs.

Role

& Responsibilities
  • Responsible for art direction and design across a variety of digital tactics, including websites, interactive visual aids, videos, banners, landing pages, and emails, for branded and unbranded HCP clients
  • Convey scientific information into compelling and memorable messages for HCP campaigns
  • Champion creative thinking for campaigns and initiatives that advance creative strategy and brand personality
  • Prepare materials for client copy approval submissions, ensuring pieces are referenced and annotated according to AMA style, without supervision
  • Collaborate with Art Directors, Designers, and Developers from job initiation to digital deployment, and partner with Account and Strategy teams at all points
  • Ability to independently run multiple projects, sometimes for different brands/industries
  • Potential for leading more junior members of the Art team
  • Clearly and expertly present work to internal members of the team, including Creative leads, Account team members, and Partners
  • Participate in client presentations (when appropriate), verbalizing the thoughts behind the idea while tying it back to the communication objective
What are we looking for in you?
  • 5+ years healthcare/pharmaceutical art direction and design
  • College degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry in an agency setting required
  • Proficiency in Adobe CS required, other relevant design software programs a plus
  • Portfolio or PDF of relevant work samples required
