Designer II - Cannon Design

Join the Cannon Design team as a Designer II to contribute to a multi-disciplinary design approach on a large‑scale healthcare facility at Mayo Clinic’s campus in Rochester, MN. This role reports directly to a Licensed Architect and project leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently contribute conceptual design and architectural development within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Prepare design presentations, including 3‑D visualizations and illustrative graphics.
  • Assist in BIM model production and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and participate in project meetings.
  • Provide shop drawing review and support site visits as required.
  • Attend client meetings in professional business attire.
  • Travel required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (or related field) – preferred from an accredited program. Minimum 4 years professional experience required.
  • Strong creative design portfolio.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, and organisational skills.
  • Experience with real‑time rendering/3‑D visualization (Enscape, Twinmotion, V‑Ray) as demonstrated in portfolio.
  • Some experience with computational design tools (Grasshopper, Dynamo) is preferred.
  • Actively pursuing Architectural Registration in the United States – preferred.
  • LEED accreditation preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $61,400 – $76,700 annually (Chicago office). Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. Benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, FSA, retirement 401(k), paid time off, flex‑time, remote options, and employee perk programs.
