Job Summary

The Department of Pathology is seeking a Medical Education Analyst, Education Programs to coordinate and support a range of departmental educational initiatives. This position oversees the CME-accredited Pathobiology of Disease seminar series, Visiting Student and Observership programs, and non-ACGME–accredited Pathology fellowship programs, with cross-training to support residency programs.

The Medical Education Analyst, Education Programs ensures compliance with institutional policies and accreditation standards, manages program operations and documentation, supports recruitment and long-term planning efforts, maintains databases, and serves as a key liaison among faculty, trainees, and institutional partners.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to work independently with sound judgment, and experience navigating medical education or accreditation environments.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates visiting students’ rotations and schedules student/physician observer-ships.

  • Coordinates activities for non-ACGME fellowships, including recruitment and program initiatives.

  • Coordinates internal departmental awards process for trainees and junior faculty.

  • Acts as a liaison between faculty, students, residents and fellows and hospital administration.

  • Coordinates all aspects of department sponsored external events including scheduling speakers, maintaining conference room and audiovisual equipment, publishing lecture schedules and monthly conference calendars, and arranging for refreshments. Posts department conference schedules on the website.

  • Completes ad hoc projects as requested, including online data collection program and system. Knowledge of shared network capabilities necessary. Responsible for scanning and maintaining electronic rotation manuals.

  • Participates in day-to-day operations of accredited and non-accredited residency and fellowship training programs and ensures compliance with organizations such as the American Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and Residency Review Committees (RRC).

  • Coordinates and interprets requirements of the training program, including accreditation, duty schedules, evaluation process, resident/fellowship recruitment, Match process, orientation and employees relations.

  • Has a moderate/high level of authority in reporting and ensuring compliance with procedures regarding licensing, moonlighting, annual contracts, and initial and re-credentialing of trainees.
