Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain a clean and organized clinical environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting with a focus on delivering exceptional dental care. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and medical documentation standards, including familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft.

Experience with X-ray procedures, 3D scanners, and medical imaging is highly desirable.

Duties
  • Assist dentists during various surgical procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
  • Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials while maintaining aseptic technique
  • Take and develop dental X-rays and operate 3D scanners and other medical imaging equipment
  • Record vital signs, medical history, and other patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
  • Provide chairside assistance during procedures involving Periodontics and Dental Implant surgery
  • Educate patients on dental procedures and post-treatment care
  • Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing instruments and managing medical records securely
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed
  • Follow all safety protocols related to anatomy knowledge, infection control, and aseptic techniques
Experience
  • Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is required.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, medical coding, and medical documentation standards is essential.
  • Experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging equipment, including 3D scanners, and chairside assisting techniques is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols must be demonstrated.
  • Certification in radiography or dental assisting programs is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to dentistry and pediatric patients will enhance performance in this role.
