Customer Account Representative / Collections Specialist — Reliable Auto Finance

Responsibilities
  • Handle high rates of incoming/outgoing calls while utilizing multiple computer programs.
  • Consistently and accurately document all conversations and information pertaining to accounts; including financial status and status of collection efforts.
  • Answer customer questions regarding problems or concerns with their account and advise customers of repayment options and strategies for debt repayment.
  • Maintain tact, sensitivity, and professionalism while listening/responding to customers via telephone, text, or email to recognize reasons for overdue payments.
  • Trace delinquent customers to new addresses by inquiring at post offices, telephone companies, credit bureaus, or through the questioning of neighbors.
  • Adhere to all state, federal, and FDCPA regulations.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years experience in collections, customer service, accounts receivable, and/or skip tracing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word (ability to learn and work within industry specific software).
  • Full-time 40+ hours per week (Monday–Friday between 8am–6pm and two Saturdays per month from 9am–1pm). This is an onsite position but after the training period there is a potential for remote work when scheduled on Saturdays.
  • Sit for extended periods of time and proficient with dual computer monitors.
  • Ability to effectively handle a high volume of incoming and outgoing calls as needed with exceptional customer service skills.
  • Complete daily and regular work assignments or responsibilities as expected.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills and contributes positively as a team player.
