Weigel Productions creates original programming and content for Weigel’s television and digital outlets. Grown out of the long‑form productions including Toon In With Me
, Svengoolie
, Collector’s Call and My Start Story . The Weigel Productions team consists of producers, writers, editors, directors of photography, graphic artists, and researchers.

Weigel Broadcasting in Chicago, IL, is offering an exciting summer internship opportunity for creative college students to gain experience with producing daily television and hands‑on responsibilities. All interns will receive an hourly rate of pay;
Weigel Broadcasting co. does not subsidize housing.

• Work alongside a dynamic production staff
• Provide hands‑on support to both program and post‑production staff
• Rotate between the video editing and graphics department to organize, assist, and create original material
• Work directly under the guidance of the department heads

• Manage and organize graphics and edit projects
• Coordinate between editors, writers, graphics team, and producers
• Complete short video edits for Weigel Productions and studio
• Research and prepare video and graphic assets within the in‑house archive, while utilizing third party archives
• Deliver finished projects and visual materials within established deadlines
• Other duties, as assigned

• Must be able to commit 20 hours per week to the internship
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
• Highly organized, detail oriented, and have a passion for visual storytelling
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
• Premiere Pro and basic editing fundamentals
• Basic animation fundamentals
• Motion graphics techniques using Adobe After Effects CC

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $16.60/hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
