Music Program Clinician

Overview

Job/FLSA Status: Part-Time, Seasonal, Exempt

Reports to: Band Director and/or Choral Director

Position summary: Music Program Clinicians support the Band Director’s and Choral Director’s efforts to improve the overall quality of music education for our music students.

Position Responsibilities

• Lead sectionals with various groups at times specified by the Band Director and/or Choral Director.
• Encourage musical growth through lessons and other outside music resources pertaining to the student’s musical focus.
• Work cooperatively with the Band Director and/or Choral Director on goals and standards needed for superior musical performance.
• Assist in rehearsals as scheduled with Band Director and/or Choral Director.
• Organize and execute, in consultation with, and approval from, the Band Director and/or Choral Director, various goals for musical growth within the specialized section assigned to you.
• Maintain positive relationships with students fostering a safe learning environment.

• Physical demands:
  While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Work environment:
  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to maximal.

Terms of Employment: $25 per hour for hours worked, no fringe benefits, at-will employment
