TECHNICAL DIRECTOR/PRODUCTION MANAGER---Business Meetings & Live Events

For a seasoned, live events AV Senior
Technical Director this position will be the “job of a lifetime”! Here you will be a key Technical/Production Manager of a leading Michigan based Business Meetings and Events production house with a reputation for helping clients increase sales and market penetration by bringing their brands and messages to life at trade shows, events, meetings, road shows, mobile tours and more. With a variety of creative services for single projects or complete, fully integrated event programs, they create a program that connects the audience, and delivers real results.

Requirements for the position:

• You must have 10 years experience in live production—and have managed a department, and implemented new processes.
• You must have designed, installed, and operated multi-projector blended image
  events
  .
• You must have strong experience and abilities working with audio and LED—as well as rigging, and CAD drawings of room layouts and rigging systems.
• You must have managed budgets, produced quotes, sub-rented gear, and worked with union crews.

You must also possess excellent customer service skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills and have a professional demeanor, be efficient in the use of time management, familiar with all key phases of the production world including Lighting, Sound, Video Display, Video Production, Presentations, Entertainment, Special Effects, Power, Rigging, Scenery, Carpentry, Computer Graphics, Signal Transmission, Labor Management, Venue Coordination, Travel, Touring, Trucking.

In addition, you must be able to supervise Project Coordinators, Project Managers, Show Technicians, Freelancers, and Subcontractors, and assign projects to Project Engineers acting as Project Managers. You must manage 10 to 15 direct reports.

You should have a minimum of two years college or equivalent experience. Must have a safe driving record.
