Role: SOCIAL COPYWRITERTeam: THE KITCHEN NORTH AMERICA
Location: CHICAGO (HYBRID)
As a Social Copywriter, you help build the brand’s voice online, craft compelling social content, and identify opportunities for breakthrough social initiatives. You collaborate with content creators, social media managers, and art directors to elevate ideas into brand acts and develop playbooks that define brand personalities.
Core Responsibilities- Write a range of content for social and digital channels, from funny to inspiring, building consumer love and cultural relevance.
- Create, edit, and publish engaging posts for various social networks.
- Optimize social media posts (language, tone, message) based on target audience behaviors and established brand tone and voice.
- Collaborate with a Content Creator on images and videos to complement text, and co‑create a wide range of social post types and concepts.
- Manage and update social media pages and profiles with on‑tone descriptions and news.
- Coordinate with internal teams to create advertising concepts.
- Respond to questions and comments on social media pages in a timely and accurate manner, or transfer to the social care or escalation team for customer service issues.
- 1+ years of experience in a social team or creative department in a related role.
- Advertising portfolio required.
- Proven track record of writing for brands with a significant following, ideally for a CPG or lifestyle brand.
- Diploma in marketing, advertising, or related field preferred.
- Ability to work with creative teams and strategists, providing expertise and influencing brand strategy.
- Loves and deeply understands social culture and trends.
- Experience with a social media management platform (Sprout, Sprinklr, Khoros) required.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills in a group environment.
- Passion for food and food marketing.
- Desire to create award‑winning, internationally recognized work.
Anticipated annual salary range: $57‑65K. Individual compensation varies based on job‑related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of The Kitchen’s total compensation package.
