Role Summary

The Assistant Project Manager is a vital member of our construction team, supporting project managers, superintendents, clients, and vendors. This role is ideal for individuals eager to learn and grow in the construction industry. The successful candidate will have a keen attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and the flexibility to adapt to changing project needs. They will excel in communication, critical thinking, and collaboration, ensuring tasks are completed reliably and resourcefully from pre-construction to project completion.

Essential Duties
  • Project Oversight:
    Support multiple projects to ensure timely completion and budget adherence
  • Vendor Management:
    Maintain regular communication with subcontractors and vendors, handling scheduling, change orders, and RFIs.
  • Client Relations:
    Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients through professional communication, expectation management, and solutions-focused approaches.
  • Documentation Coordination:
    Review and distribute project schedules, scopes of work, and coordination drawings, ensuring updates are integrated into as-built drawings.
  • Project Documentation:
    Collect and organize essential project documentation, including daily reports, weekly photos, safety documents, and administrative logs (RFIs, RFPs, submittals).
  • Meeting Coordination:
    Organize project meetings, prepare and disseminate progress reports, and assist in drafting and tracking RFIs, change proposals, and material logistics.
  • Issue Resolution:
    Assist in resolving project-related issues and conflicts.
Qualifications for Success
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years in hospitality, trades, sales, or similar roles.
  • Strong technical and communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Microsoft Project and Procore preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and manuals is helpful but not required.
  • Efficiently prioritize tasks and identify critical path items.
  • Flexible and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful, and process-focused.
  • Frequent, proactive, and effective communication skills.
