ResponsibilitiesThe Construction Estimator will support the pursuit and award of work by preparing accurate, competitive bids and budgets across a variety of markets. This role requires a detail-oriented, solutions-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, metrics-focused environment.
- Prepare bids and estimates for lump sum projects both independently and as part of a collaborative estimating team.
- Manage multiple pursuits simultaneously, effectively prioritizing bids, budgets, and deadlines.
- Perform detailed project quantity takeoffs and translate them into clear, organized bid proposals.
- Develop and refine bid scopes to ensure complete coverage of project requirements.
- Level and qualify subcontractor proposals, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project needs.
- Create logistics plans and bid schedules that reflect project constraints, phasing, and site conditions.
- Establish general conditions and general requirements for each project based on size, complexity, and delivery method.
- Develop and analyze budget unit costs to support accurate pricing and value-driven solutions.
- Proactively identify issues and propose practical, solutions-oriented recommendations throughout the estimating process.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support a smooth handoff from preconstruction to operations.

Schedule/Shift Details: Day shift
Qualifications- Proven experience in bidding and estimating lump sum construction projects in a preconstruction or estimating role.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple bids and budgets concurrently while meeting deadlines.
- Strong skills in quantity takeoffs, bid scope development, and subcontractor leveling/qualification.
- Experience preparing logistics plans and bid schedules for a variety of project types.
- Ability to establish general conditions and general requirements tailored to project-specific needs.
- Solid understanding of budget unit costing and cost drivers in commercial construction.
- Preferred market background in one or more of the following: public/municipal, healthcare, interiors (office, lobbies, renovations), retail, and ground-up/civil new construction.
- Additional pluses include experience with conceptual budgeting, GMP proposals, and GC/fee and qualification proposals.
- Highly motivated by winning work, setting and achieving bid-to-win goals, and taking on challenging pursuits.
- Confident, polished presence with clients and internal teams, remaining calm and composed under pressure.
- Known for going above and beyond, embracing constructive feedback, and continuously refining skills.
- Flexible and adaptable, able to pivot quickly as priorities, strategies, or project requirements change.
- Strong collaborator who works effectively across teams and builds trusted relationships with both clients and colleagues.
