Operations Manager
GMA Construction Group is seeking a Project Engineer. The ideal candidate has a degree in Construction Management or a similar field and at least 2+ years of relevant experience.
This role will also support the Preconstruction and Estimating departments until assigned to an active project.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe Project Engineer will support our Project Manager and other departments as needed to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and to the specified quality of workmanship. Essential job duties include:
- Assist the Project Manager with project planning, scheduling, and coordination
- Assist with accurate budget management (buy-out, pay applications, cost reporting, etc.)
- Change order management
- Manage and support project engineers overseeing RFIs and submittals
- Coordinate and manage critical subcontractors
- Assist in resolving issues related to labor disputes, material deliveries, and contract administration
- Support safety and quality control management
- Manage construction equipment and related logistics
- Provide direct support to the Preconstruction and Estimating teams, including document review, quantity takeoffs, bid preparation, and other tasks as required until project assignment
