This is a strong growth role for an Assistant Project Manager looking to build a long-term career with a contractor known for developing talent from within. You’ll work directly alongside experienced Project Managers and Superintendents, gaining exposure to all phases of project delivery while building the foundation to step into a Project Manager role.
Key Responsibilities- Support Project Managers with day-to-day project execution
- Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and change order management
- Coordinate RFIs, submittals, and document control
- Support scheduling and procurement activities
- Participate in owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings
- Help ensure quality, safety, and schedule compliance on site
- Build strong relationships with subcontractors and internal teams
- 2–6 years of experience in construction project management
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Experience on commercial, multifamily, healthcare, or interior projects
- Familiarity with tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project (or similar)
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- A team-oriented mindset with a desire to grow
- Work on high-profile local Chicago projects — no travel
