Expected salary range of $142,200 to $158,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
LOCATIONThis position offers hybrid flexibility and can be based out of our Baltimore, MD, Chicago, IL, Houston, TX or Boston, MA office. As a hybrid role, an in-office presence will be required bi-weekly, didates must live within commutable distance to an office location.
Travel will also be required for this role, to visit to other office locations. Travel to our Baltimore, MD headquarters is anticipated at least 1 time per month.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONConstellation is seeking a Principal Analyst, Commercialization & Development who will be responsible for supporting the Constellation Technology Venture portfolio companies to pilot, commercialize and scale emerging technologies and solutions. The successful candidate will have experience developing new products, customer-facing engagement, and supporting strategic and growth initiatives. The candidate will lead end-to-end project management of CTV commercial deployments of new products/technology ensuring operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
The candidate will: i) establish themselves as internal technical expert on the new product commercialization; and ii) leverage their technical expertise and sales capabilities to advance business development opportunities that align with Constellation’s strategic fit.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop customer specific behind-the-meter storage proposals, present them to customers, and negotiate/execute customer deals
- Enable new products/technologies, increasing TGM or otherwise improving Constellation's bottom line
- Assist in end to end project management of CTV commercial deployments ensuring operational effectiveness.
- Understand the types of customers/stakeholders served in various Constellation business lines with a particular emphasis on Constellation's retail commodity or distributed energy business.
- Facilitate and support connections between CTV's portfolio companies and the appropriate internal groups in Constellation.
- Work cooperatively with Constellation business units to implement deployment strategies for CTV portfolio companies' technologies and internal innovations, and analyze and measure effectiveness
- Develop a deep understanding of CTV's portfolio company products and technologies, their respective sales and marketing strategies, and determine thoughtful synergies within the broader Constellation framework.
- Assist CTV leadership with the strategic and operational management of portfolio companies
- Build and manage an internal network to facilitate commercialization of invested technologies
- Support the broader Constellation Innovation ecosystem. Serving as an Innovation activator and leveraging Innovation best practices.
- 8+ years of experience in energy retail or utility sales/marketing, strategy consulting, investment management or asset management
- Bachelor's degree with a record of academic achievement required
- Strong analytical, financial, and computer skills
- Strong presentation skills capable of presenting externally and internally to all levels of the organization
