This is a field-based position, and candidates should reside in the Pacific Northwest geographic region.
Position SummaryThe purpose of this job is to establish and execute field sales strategies that support the revenue targets and growth objectives, marketing initiatives, and strategic plans of the company. This is accomplished by managing territory accounts to meet or exceed division revenue targets. The primary purpose of the Account Manager will be for planning, organizing and executing programs that generate new prospects and have full sales ownership of territory accounts.
The person in this role will be a fully-functional member of the Food sales team. This person will work collaboratively with AMs, BDMs, RSMs, CAMs, Marketing, CSO and Scientific Affairs.
- Bachelor degree required, preferably in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4 years related experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
- 2+ years professional related experience within B2B sales environment and/or 2+ years of food safety laboratory/operation experience.
- Food safety sales background highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships, manage complex accounts, and achieve sales objectives.
The estimated salary range for this role is between $84,400 and $112,300/year. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bio Merieux's bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate's experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
