This position is in Bally’s Corporate accounting department. Staff Accountant will be responsible for executing a variety of accounting procedures, including but not limited to month‑end and year‑end closings, account reconciliations, general ledger entries, and financial analysis.
Responsibilities- Reviews and manages the daily workload, output, reliability, and effectiveness of all items purchased.
- Processes all paperwork associated with purchasing in a timely manner.
- Performs bid analyses for RFP responses as requested.
- Places purchase orders and follow up to ensure timely delivery and receipt of proper product, specification, and price.
- Conducts interviews with sales representatives to determine vendor qualifications, new ideas and pricing trends.
- Recommends specific procedures for buying, shipping, and storing products as assigned.
- Works with warehouse personnel on any issues related to orders placed, including price adjustments, substitutions, backordered items.
- Serves as an advisor to departments in obtaining proper specifications, delivery, and costs.
- Maintains vendor pricing bid lists.
- Assists in identifying and utilizing certified MBE’s and WBE’s and documents same.
- Identifies ways to increase efficiencies or improve product procurement and delivery service.
- Maintains updated skills and proficiencies, keeping pace with innovations in Procurement tools and technology.
- Acts as a resource and advisor on Oracle purchasing platform.
- Acts as a resource and advisor to Buyer.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite & Oracle software
- Strong analytical skills
