Senior Manager, Product Management (PXDP
55)

Product Management at Capital One is a booming, vibrant craft that requires reimagining the status quo, finding value creation opportunities, and driving innovative and sustainable customer experiences through technology. About

The Team

Behind every swipe, tap, and payment for a Capital One customer is a credit card core that ensures every action is captured with absolute precision. As a Senior Product Manager in Core Processing
, you are joining our mission to build a world‑class foundation that unlocks the future of banking.

You will lead the strategy for the Account Lifecycle and Complex Account States. From the moment of creation through every possible milestone—good standing, delinquency, or charge‑off—and through critical life events like Bankruptcy or SCRA benefits, your work ensures the ledger remains the "source of truth." This isn't just about managing data; it's about building the engine that powers the entire account holder experience.

Who

you are
  • A Principled Product Strategist:
You thrive in high‑stakes environments where the "right" answer requires balancing complex trade‑offs. You use principled decision‑making to shape foundational logic, ensuring our core engine is resilient, standardized, and capable of unlocking true "Change Banking for Good" moments.
  • A 0-to-1 Builder:
You have a craving for the 0-to-1 journey. You don't just put structure and frameworks around ambiguous problem statements—you love the "build," taking a product from a blank whiteboard to a scaled, functional reality.
  • Curious Across Domains:
Your superpower is the ability to go deep—not just into the technology, but into the core subject matter of our business. You are driven to understand the "why" behind different business intents and customer friction points, using those insights to build a ledger that is as intuitive as it is accurate.
  • A Master of Connectivity:
You don't just manage a backlog; you connect the dots across the organization. You seek out synergies to ensure our work is constant across intents, moving us away from legacy dependencies and toward a unified, up‑to‑date ecosystem.
Capital One Product Framework

In this role, you’ll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in five key areas which we consider to be the foundation for successful Product management:

  • Human Centered - Obsesses about internal and external customer needs to reimagine and innovate product solutions
  • Business Focused - Delivers game‑changing outcomes by focusing on leverage and execution excellence
  • Technology Driven - Leverages technology to deliver innovative and resilient solutions that enable both near term and long term value
  • Integrated Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves complex problems to deliver outcomes while mitigating product risks

Transformational Leadership - Leads cross functional teams to solve customer problems and drive organizational alignment
Basic Qualifications
