Job Description & How to Apply Below

Do you want to scale climate solutions in European agriculture and support farmer livelihoods?

Concord Agriculture is expanding our work into the European dairy supply chain. We are launching a large-scale carbon program across four countries: the UK, Spain, France and Germany. Over the next few years, the project will continue to expand to new countries in the EU and UK as national dairy industries meet eligibility criteria to expand the project.

We seek a motivated professional with ambitions to lead client relationships, support project implementation and sales within a large-scale carbon project across Europe. The ideal candidate will be independently motivated, excited for continuous learning in an evolving market, interested in the agricultural sector, experienced in carbon projects, and excited to work in a lean, dynamic startup environment.

Why This Role Matters

You will be at the forefront of reducing emissions from dairy and other agricultural value chains in Europe and beyond, implementing innovative approaches to meet agribusiness value chain sustainability goals and supporting farmer improvement. The projects are scalable and deliver significant impact.

Successful Candidates will have
  • 3-5+ years of experience in consulting, carbon markets, and or agriculture value chain sustainability.
  • Undergraduate degree. Graduate degree is a plus.
  • Understanding carbon markets, carbon project development, and agriculture value chains.
  • Experience with experience in carbon project development, carbon finance, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with carbon standards and methodologies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in client relationship management
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Expertise in climate strategy, carbon accounting, risk assessment, and disclosure frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead development of innovative carbon reduction projects.
  • Lead the client relationship with CAP’s leading clients in Europe. This includes a large animal nutrition company, the product owner at the center of CAP’s project to reduce enteric emissions in the Europe/UK dairy sectors
  • Work with the farmer cooperatives and interested farmers to participate in the project, by providing education and training while selling stakeholders on project participation and benefits.
  • Lead engagement with project partners who organize farmer data. This includes aligning the Facilitators in the program to a centralized process and project design document.
  • Engage with market actors who source insets (e.g. dairy and beef buyers in the Europe/UK markets starting in Germany, Spain, and the UK) to market the credits and establish value chain collaboration. Engage with brokers to facilitate sales of the credits as offsets and insets with a preference for inset sales.
  • Work with CAP to expand projects for the company with European brands and retailers as time allows.
Why Join CAP?
  • We are a dynamic, impactful organization that works at the cutting edge of sustainable agriculture and decarbonization.
  • Opportunities to innovate in sustainable agriculture.
  • Fun, flexible work environment.
  • Competitive pay with eligible bonus.

Note:

Bonuses, and other forms of additional compensation are not guaranteed and subject to the sole discretion of CAP policies.
