The Senior Specialist Buyer purchases materials, parts, supplies, and equipment following established purchasing policies and procedures, and optimizing price delivery and terms. Reviews current suppliers and identifies areas where pricing opportunities may exist.# About the job
* Oversees purchasing activities for a specific group to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner. (50%)
* Runs pricing revisions, order cancellations, delivery date revisions, and invoice discrepancies. Reviews current agreements to find opportunities for renegotiations that can assist with more competitive pricing or terms. (35%)
* Executes products and services purchasing according to procedures and instructions. (10%)
* Contacts vendors to obtain prices and schedule delivery dates. (5%)
* Other duties as assigned.# About you
* Two to five years of experience
* Knowledge of procurement practices
* Experience with global manufacturing companies preferred
* Advanced knowledge in MS Office
* Strong analytical skills
* Strong communication skills
* High attention to detail
