What will be your mission?
Minor Hotels is looking for a proactive, and energetic Global Sales Professional - with a Meetings & Incentives background in the US market.
The candidate will report to the US Global Director of Business Development and be responsible for the development of commercial business opportunities for the worldwide luxury portfolio of hotels. Preferred location of the candidate in the US Midwest or East Coast.
What will you do?- Educate and build brand awareness within the US market.
- Manage a portfolio of MICE accounts and seek new business opportunities with outbound potential for Minor Hotels.
- Understand the business needs for the individual properties and deliver qualified MICE demand to secure budget objectives.
- Implement commercial strategy for all assigned accounts, as well as deploy new business market growth plan.
- Coordinate efforts with our Groups and Events Management Team to secure conversion of identified opportunities.
- Identify key internal and external sources of information to detect and understand market trends.
- Build and deploy an annual action plan in coordination with the property sales team focusing on:
- Roadshow Plan, Client FAM Trips, and participation to Industry Event Trade shows
- Work with the Directors of Business Development in all Business Units (countries) to deploy a collective strategy.
- Monitor monthly results; implement timely adjustments to maximize revenues and profits.
- Update commercial CRM with all the activities planned and executed.
- Responsible for meeting deadlines and submitting reports in a timely manner.
- The candidate must have minimum 5 years of sales experience within the hotel market.
- Established commercial relationship with Key MICE Accounts & Agencies within the US.
- Expert in outbound business and a thorough understanding of sales practices, methodologies and customer buying patterns and channels.
- Established experience, and reputation with a Global Strategic Vision.
- Sales focused, results oriented and proactive style with excellent presentation skills.
- Excellent account management, hunting and influencing abilities.
- Global mindset with the ability to see the “big picture” of the Company needs, Global trends, and Competitive environment.
- Excellent communications capabilities, and negotiation skills, while developing effective collaborative methods with clients, industry partners and internal company teams.
- Data, business performance and reporting understanding.
- Solid organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving competences.
- Experience with Cvent and other RFP Lead tools & processes.
- Degree level – preferably in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality Management. Value given to post‑graduate qualifications.
- Eagerness and desire to work in a multinational environment within the travel industry in a high sale driven role.
- Experience working with international teams.
- MS Office, Advanced Excel, Advanced PowerPoint, SAP.
- Fluent spoken and written English. Other languages are an advantage.
- The position requires flexibility to travel internationally.
