American Chrome Company (ACC) is seeking a hands-on, analytically strong Demand Planner to help advance our demand planning, supply planning, and S&OP maturity. This role is ideal for a planner who enjoys working directly with data, influencing cross-functional partners, and driving measurable business impact. This position is onsite, with the potential to transition to a hybrid schedule after the role is established.
Responsibilities Include Demand Planning & Forecasting- Analyze customer and statistical forecasts, evaluate accuracy, and determine best-fit forecasting approaches
- Develop and enhance quantitative forecasting models, including the use of AI-driven tools
- Facilitate collaboration with Sales, Customers, and Commercial teams to improve forecast accuracy and value-add insights
- Partner with Product and Commercial teams to align forecasts for NPI/NPD and product line expansions
- Integrate demand plans into supply planning and MRP systems
- Assist in supplier forecasting and identify material or capacity constraints
- Develop inventory strategies and safety stock recommendations to optimize service levels and inventory performance
- Partner closely with Purchasing and Operations to proactively address risks impacting on-time delivery
- Support and execute monthly S&OP processes, including Demand Review, Supply Review, and Executive Review
- Identify constraints, develop countermeasures, and finalize constrained demand plans
- Assist in reconciling operational forecasts with financial plans
- Document decisions, risks, and action items to ensure follow-through
- Develop forecasting tools, templates, and reporting
- Play a key role in the deployment and maturation of MRP within ERP, including master data setup, testing, and Go-Live support
- Act as a functional SME, supporting procedures, work instructions, and training materials
- 5–7+ years of demand planning experience in manufacturing and/or distribution
- Strong analytical skills with comfort working directly with raw data
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Dynamics, or similar)
- Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and translate data into business decisions
