Exempt position. Monthly base salary $3,900 during the probationary period; base rate increases to $4,333 per month upon successful completion. Earn uncapped commission, generous bonuses, medical, vision, dental coverage, generous PTO, and 401(k).

As the first point of contact, the Merchant Consultant serves as a brand ambassador, introducing Universal Processing’s business solutions to clients. The ideal candidate is goal‑driven, resilient, people‑oriented, and committed to community growth.

• Generate leads, conduct cold calls, and prospect potential clients.
• Conduct in‑person meetings to assess customer needs and present customized payment, merchant financing, and marketing solutions.
• Perform pricing analysis by reviewing clients’ payment processing statements and initiate proposals accordingly.
• Follow up with potential merchants by reviewing products, services features, benefits, and terms.
• Close sales in a timely and effective manner.
• Develop and maintain new lead sources; build relationships with referrals and affiliates.
• Create and develop marketing programs to increase sales.
• Develop new sales opportunities within the existing client base.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; E‑Verify employer.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration, Communications, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2–3 years of sales and/or customer service experience required.
• Previous experience in the merchant service industry is an asset.
• Strong communication, critical‑thinking, detail‑oriented, and analytical skills.
• Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and able to work independently.
