Pay Rate: $37.33/hour

Contract Duration: Long-term: 6–12 months

Work Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8 AM – 5 PM CST

We are seeking a Procurement professional to join the Category Management team for our client the manufacturing and telecommunication industry. This role supports daily procurement operations to ensure high-quality semiconductor and electro-mechanical components are sourced and delivered on time, at the lowest total cost, and from the appropriate strategic suppliers. The position plays a key role in competitive pricing analysis, supplier selection, vendor master data maintenance, and purchased-part attribute analysis to drive cost reduction and mitigate supply risks, while supporting global category strategies.

• Support execution of category strategies for semiconductor and electro-mechanical components
• Conduct competitive pricing analysis to support best-value sourcing decisions
• Assist with supplier selection and onboarding in collaboration with Category Managers
• Maintain vendor master data with accuracy and completeness
• Analyze purchased-part attributes to identify cost-reduction opportunities and mitigate supply-chain risks
• Communicate regularly with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, quality issues, and performance updates
• Monitor market trends and supply conditions to support strategic decision-making
• Partner with engineering, operations, and quality teams to align sourcing needs
• Track and report key procurement metrics related to cost, delivery, and supplier performance

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or category management preferred
• Knowledge of semiconductor or electro-mechanical components is a plus
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication and supplier-management capabilities
• Proficiency with ERP systems and vendor master data; experience with procurement tools is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Experience supporting global or multi-site category strategies preferred
• Familiarity with cost-analysis methods and total cost-of-ownership (TCO) evaluations preferred
• Understanding of supply-risk mitigation and supplier-performance management preferred
