Are you ready for the opportunity of a lifetime? If so, we are hiring a Credit Analyst who will be responsible for managing the company’s financial risk of extending credit for specific business units and promoting strong cash collections by properly enforcing customers’ payment terms.

Key Accountabilities
  • Manage credit and collection activities for a portfolio of business units, including processing new credit applications by reviewing credit data and approving credit limits for new and existing customers up to $500K.
  • Ensure compliance with payment terms, timely dispute resolution, and perform account reconciliation by reviewing aging reports weekly. Schedule frequent communication with sales and operations to coordinate plans for corrective action.
  • Address delinquent payments by contacting customers and working with internal business partners to resolve customer issues where necessary.
  • Monitor for signs of financial problems and report to the immediate manager with an action plan to mitigate.
  • Prepare and follow through on payment schedules for customers who need temporary extended payment terms.
  • Validate orders placed on hold by ERP at the time of order.
  • Ensure credit exposure for ongoing customers is maintained within their approved limits.
  • Build new and strengthen existing relationships with customers, both internal and external.
  • Assist the immediate manager in presenting credit-related training.
  • Prepare monthly reports of past due accounts and other various reports as needed.
  • Effectively negotiate in complex customer situations with assistance from the immediate manager.
  • Recommend and implement credit and operational processes and procedures for continuous improvements by collaborating with various departments, including leveraging technology where appropriate.
  • Provide accurate customer trade information and analysis.
  • Promote sales growth by using discretion and professional judgment to prevent credit and collection efforts from adversely affecting customer relations.
  • Fulfill the employee portion of the Berlin T-Chart.
  • Meet or exceed individual KPI goals, including DSO, % current, Bad Debt Expense, and Cash Collections.
  • Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance or equivalent experience.
  • Three+ years of relevant commercial credit and collection experience.
  • Basic accounting, financial statement, and bankruptcy knowledge.
  • Intermediate/Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Follow-up skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and a high sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a group setting with minimal supervision.
  • Strong business judgment and knowledge of credit and collection tools and techniques.
  • Effective communication skills for all audiences.
  • Interpersonal effectiveness and time management.
Working Environment
  • Hybrid work schedule in a corporate office environment at our headquarters in downtown Chicago (525 W. Monroe), with relocation to a new office in the Merchandise Mart in January 2026.
  • Limited travel is required.

IL Base Pay Range: $68,000 USD - $75,000 USD
